Together with ACE Power, Banpu is constructing a 2-hour 103 MW battery storage system located on private land adjacent to the Kerang Terminal Station, south of Kerang, Victoria. 

When operating, the project offers reliable integrated renewable power during times of high demand.

When demand for power rises, the batteries can discharge their stored power, helping to lights on and energy prices low for homes and businesses.

Environment

Lithium Ion battery technology has no emmissions and emits minimal sound. The project will save around 65,000 tonnes of Co2e each year.
