The Pinecrest BESS project seeks to provide firmed renewable power in one of the best locations on the grid in NSW.
It is proposed to be located approximately 12km north west of Lithgow, between the existing Mt Piper and Wallerawang high voltage substations, and on the previous Pinecrest Solar development footprint.
The proposed site is next to existing Transgrid transmission lines.
